Two of Ghana’s dancehall rivals, Stonebwoy and Shatta Wale who for the past weeks have been throwing innuendos and jabs at each other met at the Akwasidae Festival held at the Manhyia Palace in Kumasi yesterday. They were part of the team from Zylofon Media which joined the Asantehene and his people to celebrate the Akwasidae, a festival observed by the Asanteman. The Akwasidae Festival is celebrated by the Ashanti people and chiefs in Ashanti as well as the Ashanti diaspora. The festival is celebrated on a Sunday, once every six weeks. The Akwasidae Festival is next only in importance to the National Day celebrations. The two were seen standing side-by-side the Chief Executive Officer of Zylofon Media, Nana Appiah Mensah.
